The Great Buddhist Master's Trail

As part of exploring and promoting new trekking trails in the country,Trekking Agencies’ Association of Nepal was organizing a ‘Timal-Mahabharat Trekking Trail Exploration' last week. Our manager Dawa Lama Tamang was very enthusiastic to participate in this mission, as he was born in the Timal region and he is very well aware of the hidden beauty and treasures of this area. During the trek, on a full-moon day in August, the participants did meet animist shamans from different villages and areas which were gathering and celebrating at the Narayanthan Temple in Kot Timal, 75 kms from Kahtmandu. Enjoy the colorful pictures of the fertile Mahabarat range, the Buddhist culture, the crew, the local villagers and the barefoot doctors of the Nepali villages. Route followed : Kathamandu- Panauti-NamoBuddha-Kot Timal, Narayanthan, Nepalthok, Shikhapur, Katar Che, Deurali, Kathmandu.
